Prom Makeup Tips – Alton, IL Senior Photography

FLASH NOTE to all of our senior girls who have met Liz, my most used local makeup artist!

Liz, the owner of Brush Hair and Makeup, is the BEST hair stylist and makeup artist in the area. She’s fun and up-to-date on all of the trends. But most importantly, my clients love her! So much, as a matter of fact, that she is fully booked for prom on April 28th and May 12th!

I connected with Liz today and compiled a list of the top 10 things every teen girl needs to do in preparation for prom makeup:

1. Arrive with absolutely zero makeup on! (Girls, please don’t show up with leftover eye makeup and bronzer in your hairline!)
2. Wear moisturizer.
3. Drink plenty of water.
4. Avoid heavy spray tans. (And say NO to splotchy spray tan faces!)
5. Arrive with clean, dry hair. (We can dirty it up if needed-ha!)
6. Don’t go too heavy on makeup because you’ll regret it in years to come.
7. Say yes to lashes!
8. A pop of lip color is a must!
9. Bring three pictures for inspiration. (Not every look works great for every person.)
10. Find a great photographer to capture your gorgeous look!

Okay, so maybe that last tip came from me, but hey! I’m sure Liz would love to add your beautiful face to her portfolio of images at that studio! 😉
