Alexandra and Patrick’s wedding day at the St. Louis Zoo was was one for the books! I photographed Alex’s senior pictures nearly 8 years ago – what? It is such an honor when seniors come back and ask me to then photograph their wedding. It is so fun to be part of these monumental moments in their lives!

Planning the timeline and locations was tricky because it was the same weekend as Fair St. Louis and the first fireworks show post-pandemic. Needless to say, the St. Louis area was full of people! With a few last minute changes, we actually had ample time before the ceremony to photograph details and getting ready photos. Alex and Patrick waited until the ceremony to see each other. Their ceremony was held at 7:00 p.m. in the Meadow on Historic Hill with the reception at The Living World at 8:20 p.m. I just want to point out that we took family formals, bridal party photos and bride and groom photos in less than 45 minutes! I had a strong second shooter (shout out to Sophie!) and we are pretty proud of what we were able to capture for Alex and Patrick in a very short amount of time!

One of the best parts about working with Alexandra and Patrick was the faith and trust they put in me from the get go. They listened to my recommendations and suggestions and trusted the process. Thank you both for allowing me to be such a big part of your day!
