Let me introduce to you Reed and Morgan! Three years ago, I started teaching again full-time. For those of you who don’t know, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. I taught for a year in Memphis, TN. Then, we moved to Missouri where I was a full-time paraprofessional for a year before having my first baby. After having my first baby, I launched into photography full-time so that I could stay home with my babies. But three years ago I went back to the classroom and now I do both!

When I went to my new teacher orientation at North Greene HS in August 2018, I met Reed my new co-teacher for the year. I immediately texted a couple of close friends and announced “My co-teacher is 15!” He looked really young and I felt really old. He wasn’t actually 15 and was the perfect partner in crime that school year. Throughout the year, we became good friends (or as good of friends as you can become in a short nine months) and I learned about his long-time girlfriend, Morgan. I always teased him about making sure he hired no one but me when he finally decided to propose. Sure enough he did!

Reed is quite possibly the most laid back human I have ever met, and as it turns out, that’s exactly what Morgan thinks too! She says he balances out her Type A personality quite well. He is always able to put a smile on her face no matter how serious the situation. His drive for success in his own career while simultaneously supporting her career goals is exactly what Morgan wants.

Morgan is a very loving and protective mama bear type of person. She keeps Reed in line when he acts like too much of an idiot (his words, not mine!). At the same time, Morgan can handle his goofiness very well. She’s the only one who understands what his career path (college coach at Blackburn College) requires of him as far as long hours and never having a consistent schedule.

Their relationship is lighthearted, supportive and competitive with a pinch of sarcasm. It actually sounds eerily familiar to my relationship with Wade!
